Where to look for help and advice

Support for older family carers (70 years+) of people with learning disabilities

This is a free service, supported by the Learning Disability Partnership Board of Hertfordshire.

We can visit you or talk with you on the phone. We will listen to the things that matter to you as an older person who is looking after a relative with a learning disability.

We offer
  • time to listen
  • a point of contact
  • information and support
  • to speak on your behalf with other agencies
  • an interpreter, if needed.

We can help you to make an emergency plan in case you have to take a break from caring at any time. We can also provide information and help you make longer term plans.

We are here to answer your questions and provide support in the way that is best for you.

Contact us on: 01992 555444

Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays between 10am and 1pm.

A voicemail message can be left at other times and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
