Where to look for help and advice

Which carers do Adult Care Services help?

Adult Care Services funds organisations like Carers in Hertfordshire to provide support and information to carers.

Carers in Hertfordshire provides confidential advice, support and information to any carer who lives in Hertfordshire, or looks after someone living in Hertfordshire. They can be contacted by phone on 01992 586969, or fax on 01992 586959. For further details select the Carers in Hertfordshire link under 'External links'.

Adult Care Services provides services to older or disabled people if they are eligible for support. This is usually when they might not manage to live independently without that support. Our leaflet called Fair access to care describes how we work this out.

We can also provide some services to carers of people who qualify for our help, if the caring has a significant impact on the carer’s life. More information about this is in our leaflet called Support for carers.

To view the full text of these leaflets online, or order copies, please use the Adult Care Services Publications link.
