Blue Badge Disabled Parking Scheme

Blue badge close up with keyThe Blue Badge scheme gives on-street parking concessions to people who have severe mobility problems.

You can get a badge if:
  • you have very severe walking difficulties and are a driver or a passenger.
  • you are registered blind.
  • you drive a vehicle regularly and have a severe disability in both arms.

The badge cannot be used for temporary disabilities such as a broken limb or convalescence.

In Hertfordshire the badge is issued through Hertfordshire County Council’s Adult Care Services.
