The TrustMark scheme
Hertfordshire Trading Standards was the first Trading Standards in the country to adopt the TrustMark good trader scheme.
For more information on how to find a Trustmark trader please select the link called Find a Good Local Trader
The traders on this general TrustMark list have been approved by a number of different scheme operators including trade associations, testing associations and commercial organisations. Traders who become members of the TrustMark scheme are fully checked for issues such as competence and quality of work, qualifications, insurances and financial probity.
Hertfordshire Trading Standards has not checked all of those traders, only the ones on the scheme who bear our Hertfordshire Trading Standards green logo. If you would like to see a list of our traders, please select the link called Hertfordshire TrustMark Traders.
Only traders who sign up to our good trader scheme also agree to sign up to our Code of Practice, which spells out how they should deal with consumers professionally and fairly. We also carry out checks on a trader's complaint history and continue to monitor their trading practices. If you are a trader based in Hertfordshire or if you carry out most of your work in Hertfordshire and you think that you can step up to the mark, please select the TrustMark for traders link on this page, if you would like to speak to a member of the Hertfordshire TrustMark team, please contact Hertfordshire Trading Standards on 01707 292429.
