Hertfordshire has a large children’s workforce which delivers key services to children, young people and their families. Hertfordshire Children’s Trust Partnership brings these services and disciplines together to make sure we all work to improve outcomes for all children and young people.
To make sure we deliver the best possible services we need the right people in the right roles. We also need to understand the roles and responsibilities of others across the children’s workforce as, by working together as a team, the children’s workforce can achieve more for children and their families than they would be able to working on their own.
Children Schools and Families is responsible for services for children, young people and their families. Services include school admissions, family support, emotional health and wellbeing and residential care for children and young people.

Fostering and shared care Fostering is taking care of someone else’s child for a period of time while they are unable to live with their own family - from a few days or weeks to many years. In return we offer 24 hour support, ongoing training and a weekly fee plus an allowance to cover the costs of looking after a child.
Shared carers are volunteers who spend time with disabled children and involve them in everyday activities at home or in your community.
